Release 2/17/2026 Patch Notes

Greetings House Leaders,

A new update is releasing today! Read on to learn more about new features, tuning, and bug fixes for the newest Game of Thrones: Legends release! 

Tuning

Champion Tuning

  • Updated Aegon II Targaryen, Craster, Viserys Targaryen III, Benjen Stark, Arya Stark: Winterfell Returned, Lord Varys, Euron Greyjoy, and Thoros of Myr with dual factions.

Many players have asked us what Champions who have Gem-based abilities do on the enemy side. Most of them have had varying small attacks or buffs to compensate for their lack of Gems, but there hasn’t been much consistency there and we thought we’d try and fix that. We did a pass in this release to ensure that they had abilities that made sense for what their Gem abilities were. Of course, the puzzle board is full of randomness, so it’s not easy to simulate that on the enemy side.

Essentially our goal was to ensure that all Champions had value on both the player and enemy side. 

We’re also currently working on being able to surface how these abilities work on defense within the game, so everyone will always understand the full capabilities of their Champions without having to refer to these patch notes.

There are several Gem effects that need to be translated to non-Gem effects effectively.

  • Destroying Gems/Power-Ups = do 15% - 60% ATK damage to anywhere between 1-all opponents.

  • Any Champion with a percent chance to destroy Gems was given the same percent chance to do the above damage.

  • Spawning Power-Ups = downgrade Power-Ups back into regular Gems.

  • Gem Damage Buffs = ATK Buffs (reduced by ~40%)

  • Gem Crit Buffs = Critical Chance Buffs (reduce by ~20%)

In some cases, we had to veer from these “rules” a bit based on how things were playing out in playtesting, and may continue to make adjustments based on how Champions perform in different defensive team comps.

Barristan Selmy

  • Leader (player side): On ally SHIELD break, spawn a random Power-Up and grant the ally 10% Gem Damage indefinitely.

  • Leader (enemy side): On ally SHIELD break, downgrade a random Power-Up to a gold Gem, and grant the ally +6% ATK indefinitely.

Bolton Field General

  • Passive (player side): When a BLEEDING opponent uses their Skill, destroy 1(2) Gems.

  • Passive (enemy side): When a BLEEDING opponent uses their Skill, do 15% ATK damage to 1 (2) random opponents.

Braavosi Dagger Master

  • Skill (player side): Spawns 1 Free Cities Gems with a 60% (80%) chance to spawn another. Each does 200% (400%) ATK damage.

  • Skill (enemy side): 80% chance to do 200% (400%) ATK damage to 1 random enemy. with a 50% (70%) chance to repeat the attack.

  • Passive (player side): Skill also grants team members +10% Gem Damage (and +10% Gem Crit) for 3 turns.

  • Passive (enemy side): Skill also grants team members +6% ATK (and +8% Crit) for 3 turns.

Bran Stark

  • Passive (player side): Chance to apply ICE when Ally Gems are destroyed.

  • Passive (enemy side): same on enemy side.

Brienne of Tarth

  • Passive (player side): Damage to SHIELDED ally, (2x per turn) 80% (100%) chance to destroy a Power-Up and 75% to destroy 1(2) additional Gems.

  • Passive (enemy side): Damage to SHIELDED ally, (2x per turn) 80% (100%) chance to do 30% ATK damage to all opponents, and 75% chance to do 15% ATK damage to 2 opponents.

Davos Seaworth (The Onion Knight)

  • Skill (player side): Grant ally 30% Gem Crit, 30% Gem Damage for 3 turns.

  • Skill (enemy side): Grant ally 24% Crit Chance, 18% Crit Damage for 3 turns.

  • Passive (player side): Marked ally uses Skill: 25%(50%) chance to destroy 1(3) Gems.

  • Passive (enemy side): Marked ally uses Skill: 25%(50%) chance to do 15%(45%) damage to 2 random opponents.

Davos Seaworth (Hand of the King)

  • Skill (player side): Spawns 1 Seeker Gems with a 50% (100%) chance to spawn another 2.

  • Skill (enemy side): Downgrades 1 Power-Up to gold Gem with a 50% (100%) chance to downgrade another 2.

  • Passive (player side): On enemy defeat, destroys 1 Gem and if target Scouted, destroys all Seeker Gems.

  • Passive (enemy side): On enemy defeat, do 15% ATK damage to a random opponent. If target SCOUTED, 80% chance to do 30% ATK damage to all enemies.

  • Leader (player side): Allied Marksmen start with +15% Gem Crit. When an enemy gains a buff by a Skill, double the Gem Crit Chance for 3 turns.

  • Leader (enemy side): Allied Markmen start with +12% Crit Chance. When an enemy gains a buff by a Skill, double the Crit Chance for 3 turns.

Gendry Baratheon

  • Skill (player side): Spawns 1 Power-Up with a 40%(100%) chance to spawn V-Splitter.

  • Skill (enemy side): Downgrades 1 Power-Up with a 10% (50%) chance to downgrade another.

  • Passive (player side): On HP Guard activated: Grants team members +15% Gem Damage for 3 turns.

  • Passive (enemy side): Grants team members +10% ATK for 3 turns.

Joffrey Baratheon (The Future King)

  • Skill (player side): Destroys 1 blue Gem with a 75%(100%) chance to destroy another.

  • Skill (enemy side): Does 15% damage to a random opponent, with a 75% (100%) chance to hit another opponent.

Lord Varys

  • Passive (player side): Allies damaged by SCOUTED enemy: Grants all team members +25% Gem Crit Chance for 3 turns.

  • Passive (enemy side): Allies damaged by SCOUTED enemy: Grants all team members +20% Crit Chance for 3 turns.

Melisandre

  • Skill (player side): Grants all team members +20% (30%) Gem Damage for 3 (4) turns.

  • Skill (enemy side): Grants allies +12% (+18%) ATK for 3 (4) turns.

  • Passive (player side): When enemies take Crit damage from a Skill, grants allies +25% (40%) Gem Damage (and +25% (+50%) Gem Crit) for 2 turns.

  • Passive (enemy side): When enemies take Crit damage from a Skill, grants allies +15% (25%) ATK (and +20% (40%) Crit) for 2 turns.

Mysterious Green Seer

  • Skill (player side): Spawns 1 Foresight Gems with a 75% (100%) chance to spawn another. Each worth 15%(30%) Stamina.

  • Skill (enemy side): 60% chance to grant 15% (30%) Stamina to all allies, with a 40% (50%) chance to grant another 15%.

  • Passive (player side): When any Champion REINFORCES the battle, the Seer grants all team members +15% Gem Damage and Gem Crit Chance for 3 turns, then destroys 1 Gems, prioritizing Power-Ups.

  • Passive (enemy side): When any Champion REINFORCES the battle, the Seer grants all team members +9(15)% ATK and +12(20)% Crit for 3 turns, then does 20(30)% ATK damage to 2 random enemies.

Robert Baratheon (Lord of the Seven Kingdoms)

  • Leader (player side): When he gains a Buff, 75%(100%) chance to destroy a Gem (prio Power-Up).

  • Leader (enemy side): When he gains a Buff, 75% (100%) chance to do 20% ATK damage to 3 random enemies.

Robert Baratehon (Protector of the Realm)

  • Leader (player side): When a Power-Up is destroyed, grants the team +15%(+25%) Durability and +15%(+25%) Tenacity for 2 turns. If it's an Ally Gem, he heals the team +15%(+25%) DEF.

  • Leader (enemy side): same on enemy side.

Sandor Clegane (Joffrey’s Guardian)

  • Leader (player side): When he or marked ally is HEALED, destroys 1 Power-Up/Gem.

  • Leader (enemy side): ...Do 30% ATK damage to 3 random opponents.

Sandor Clegane (The Hound)

  • Skill (player side): 50% (80%) chance to destroy 3 Gems.

  • Skill (enemy side): 50% (80%) chance to do 15% ATK damage to 3 random opponents.

  • Leader (player side): When Sandor's Skill does Crit damage, he TAUNTS and destroys 1 additional Gem.

  • Leader (enemy side): When Sandor’s Skill does Crit damage, he TAUNTS and does 15% ATK damage to a random opponent.

Stannis Baratheon (Lord of Storm’s End)

  • Passive (player side): When an enemy is defeated, destroys 2 (4) Gems (Power-Ups).

  • Passive (enemy side): When an enemy is defeated, do 30% (60%) ATK damage to 3 random enemies.

  • Leader (player side): At the start of combat, grants all team members +25% Gem Damage. When an enemy SHIELD is broken, this Gem Damage buff gains an additional 25%.

  • Leader (enemy side): At the start of combat, grants all team members +15% ATK.When an enemy SHIELD is broken, this ATK buff gains an additional 15%.

Stannis Baratheon (The One True King)

  • Skill (player side): Spawns 1 Power-Up.

  • Skill (enemy side): Downgrades 1 Power-Up to a violet Gem.

  • Passive (player side): When a Power-Up is destroyed while he's TAUNTING, removes Buffs from opponent.

  • Passive (enemy side): same on enemy side.

  • Leader (player side): The first time an ally drops below 50% (and 25%) HP, grants them +20% Gem Damage for 3 turns.

  • Leader (enemy side): The first time an ally drops below 50% (and 25%) HP, grants them +12% ATK for 3 turns.

**Thoros! Stop standing around and do something!**

Some of you may remember that in our last set of Champion updates (When we buffed tanks and DEF) we mentioned wanting to buff Thoros. He didn't make it, we were missing some key tech, but now, we can rebuild him, we have the technology! (We can target alive / dead champions and do different things based on who was chosen).

The key problem we're looking to fix with Thoros is the boring part of his kit where he can't do anything to contribute to a battle until an ally is defeated.

  • Skill: Thoros can now target living allies to HEAL them, with a chance to Critically HEAL since it's thematic to the Brotherhood. He can still revive allies by choosing a defeated ally.

  • Passive: Thoros' attack now has 100% accuracy, because missing an attack feels bad if the enemy wasn't even trying to dodge. He can now also apply FIRE with this attack, since just like Beric, his sword is ablaze.

  • Leader: Thoros has a brand new leader ability. It stops him from hitting himself, but also grants all Menders and REINFORCING allies Crit Chance, which can potentially trigger his passive follow up attacks more frequently as well.

Gameplay Tuning

  • Updated enemy basic attack power scaling along the 7 star curve. Expect to see most enemy teams hit harder with their basic attacks, particularly as they rank higher.

Event Tuning

  • Event Battles have all had their energy cost reduced to 2 for every event and every difficulty 

Rewards Tuning

  • Improved Silver rewards in The Crown’s Challenge, Silver and Skillbook T1 rewards in Alliance Legendary Assault, Food in food Trials, Novice Skillbooks in War of the Three Banners.

  • Updated Campaign Gear Chest tooltip text to be more clear about rarity drops.

Bug Fixes

Alliance Legendary Assault Fixes

  • Updated Legendary Assault Rhaegal's Stamina increase ability description to better reflect how it works.

Champions and Enemies Fixes

  • Fixed Skeletal Wight occasionally hitting less than 3 targets.

  • Fixed Jon Snow (Bastard of Winterfell)'s Passive description which inaccurately led to believe his own Skill Crits would give him NORTHERN GIFT.
