Ally: Corlys Velaryon (United In Blood) 

As the heir to the Driftwood Throne and Prince Consort, Laenor Velaryon inhabits both the world of the sea raiders and the ferocious Blacks. His skill is good for applying both RAID on his opponents and FURY on himself, making his opponents more vulnerable and buffing himself as they weaken. To maximize his Mender abilities, be sure to use his Skill first in the turn to activate his passive Trait for HEALING.

I Am a Knight, and a Warrior – Laenor strikes a target enemy, and afflicts them with 1 RAID, with a chance for an additional RAID. Laenor gains 1 FURY, with a chance for an additional FURY. At higher levels, the chance of applying additional RAID and FURY increases.

Laenor Velaryon 001 Passive

The Wise Sailor Flees the Storm – If Laenor's was the first Skill used this turn, he HEALS the team for a percentage of their Max HP. When ENRAGED, he also grants the team Dodge for one or more turns.

What Role Have You Played? – If Laenor’s Leader Ability is active, RAID HEALING is more effective. If an ally defeats a RAIDED enemy, they gain one or more FURY.

Champion Strategy

Laenor is a capable Mender for either a RAID focused team, or a FURY-focused one. Pair him with heavy hitters capable of taking down as many enemies as possible to maximize his healing impact.

Synergies

Three Champions: 

  • Corlys Velaryon – When paired with his father, Laenor can help keep his father up with heals while setting him up to utilize his powerful AoE attack by activating his skill first.

  • Rhaenys Targaryen –  Laenor is able to heal his team while keeping up good single target damage. This helps his mother and other members of a Blacks team pick off key targets while aiming to reach ENRAGED in the late game.

  • Euron Greyjoy – Laenor and Euron both gain benefits from defeating RAIDED enemies and Euron’s passive helps keep this going by applying even more RAID whenever this occurs.

On a RAID team, Laenor rewards his allies with additional healing as they defeat RAIDED enemies in addition to his team healing. He can also set up combos by using his skill to lead off the combo chain.

Laenor serves a critical role as a healer and damage preventor on a Blacks team. With a FURY team he’s more likely to not only heal his team, but also to grant them DODGE chance to avoid damage entirely. This helps to ensure they can get good use out of their powerful ENRAGED abilities.
