Corlys Velaryon’s legendary resolve and strategic brilliance, honed through countless voyages and conflicts, now translates into a formidable defensive presence. As a tank, Corlys fearlessly protects his allies, absorbing blows and providing crucial support to turn the tide of any battle. Allied primarily with the Blacks Faction, he can also act as the defensive bulwark for a RAID-focused team like the Greyjoys.
Skill
The Sea Snake – Corlys deals Damage, inflicts one or more RAID on the target enemy, and then TAUNTS for 3 turns. If The Sea Snake is used after an ally's Skill this turn, it instead Damages and RAIDS all enemies.
Trait
Pursuit Of Legacy – If Corlys takes damage from an enemy Skill while TAUNTING, he gains one FURY and counters dealing damage to that enemy and afflicting them with RAID If he is ENRAGED when this occurs, he also heals himself.
Leader
Worth Must Be Made – At the start of combat, Corlys' team gains a Durability Buff for 5 turns. When a RAIDED enemy is defeated, reapply this Durability Buff.
Champion Strategy
The Sea Snake’s key role on a team is as a tank, to absorb damage and buff his team with Durability. His presence is key on any RAID or FURY-focused team to divert damage, and aid in building RAID on enemies.
Synergies
Three Champions:
Laenor Velayron – Laenor serves as a strong pairing with his father, serving to increase the amount of RAID on enemies and healing the team if his is the first skill used this turn.
Yara Greyjoy – A fellow sailor, Yara pairs well with Corlys, taking advantage of the AoE RAID he can apply to the enemy team better allowing her to freely pick off weaker champions and get some healing from RAID.
Rhaenyra Targaryen (The Black Queen) – The Black Queen fits right in with Corlys. She can utilize his TAUNT while giving him extra survivability via her passive and FURY ensuring that the team is more likely to become ENRAGED.

Corlys provides both support for the FURY and ENRAGE playstyle as well as supporting RAID playstyle most commonly found in the Greyjoy faction. For both teams, he fills the role of tank, giving the FURY teams the chance to live long enough to reach ENRAGED, and soaking hits for the RAID teams to give them a bit more time to set up their powerful combos.
