Champion Release Summons Update

Greetings House Leaders,

As the tides of war shift and new legends emerge across the Seven Kingdoms, we are committed to evolving the way you recruit Champions to your cause. Today, we are announcing a significant update to our New Champion Release Summons, coinciding with the arrival of Oberyn Martell on June 3.

Our goal is to make your path to power more versatile, rewarding, and accessible, whether you are a newly anointed Lord or a veteran battle commander.

TL;DR:

  • Exalted Tokens will become the primary way to access the newest release champions, starting with Oberyn Martell in June.

  • This new summon will replace both the Gold and Splendid Token Summons previously used for new releases. You will still be able to use Splendid tokens and Gold for champions before June.

  • Improved Odds: Exalted summons feature a 2x higher probability of dropping Legendary Shards compared to previous Release Splendid Token summons.

  • Gold can still be used for pulls within the Exalted banner.

Banner & Economy Updates

  • Grand Token Summons: The roster for existing Grand Token Summons is being significantly expanded, adding more Champions to the pool when Oberyn is released.

  • Price Reduction: The cost of Splendid Tokens will be permanently reduced to help players summon more frequently.

  • Champion Transition: New champions will transition to the Splendid Summon or Event pool at least one month after their initial Exalted Release Summon ends (e.g., Oberyn Martell moves to the Splendid pool after July 3).

Earning Exalted Tokens

  • Players can earn Exalted Tokens through material trials and Proving Grounds within their Great House.

  • Players will also receive exalted tokens as an inbox message close to the launch of Oberyn.

  • Starting in June, these tokens will also be included in the Goldroad rewards.

A New Tier of Excellence: Exalted Summons

To celebrate the arrival of new powerful Champions in Westeros, we are introducing Exalted Tokens. Starting with the release of Oberyn Martell, these will become the primary way to access our newest release Champion. The Exalted Token Summon will replace both the Gold and the Splendid Token Summons that have been present at release in the past. However, players will still be able to use Gold to pull in the Exalted banner. Exalted summons will also have a 2x higher probability (vs. Splendid Token summons) of dropping Legendary Shards. We want every player to have a seat at the table. To ensure this, we are integrating Exalted Tokens directly into the daily life of your Great House. You will be able to earn these premium tokens by engaging with the game in different places.

Expanding the Ranks: Summon Banner Updates

We believe that as your journey progresses, your access to Legendary Champions should grow. We are significantly expanding the rosters of our existing Grand Token Summons to put more power in your hands: A bunch of Champions will be added to the Grand Summon pool with the release of Oberyn.

Greater Value for the Realm

To further support your recruitment efforts, we are permanently reducing the cost of Splendid Tokens with the Exalted Summons release in June. This price adjustment allows you to summon more frequently and fill your roster at a much higher velocity.

Additionally, after new Champions debut in the Exalted Release Summon, they will transition into the Splendid Summon or Event Summon pool after at least a month after the end of the new Champion’s release. For example, Oberyn Martell’s new Champion Summons end on June 3rd, and he will be added into the Splendid Summon pool after July 3rd. This ensures that every Champion eventually becomes accessible to all who fight for the Iron Throne, but also guarantees we are rewarding players that invested early in the new character.

Finally, we will also be decreasing the Gold price to summon in the Grand Summon token and Splendid token banner, in order to make those Champions more accessible to all players.

Strengthening the Great House Economy

We believe that every House Lord and Lady should have a clear path to recruiting the realm’s most elite warriors. To support the transition to Exalted Summons, we are integrating these new tokens directly into your monthly journey through Westeros.

Where to Earn Exalted Tokens

Starting with the upcoming update, you can secure Exalted Tokens through the following sources:

  • Exalted Token Material Trials: A new trial will accompany every character release starting June, rewarding participating players with up to 5 tokens.

  • Proving Grounds: We will also be rewarding tokens through the Proving Grounds to help you summon the specific character featured on the banner.

  • Goldroad: Exalted tokens will also be included on the Goldroad starting June, so you can earn them by completing daily and weekly goals.

As your journey continues, these tokens will be integrated into other areas of the game. Keep an eye out for more exciting rewards coming soon!

Easing the Transition

We understand that changes to the economy require adjustment. To celebrate this new era and ensure your House is prepared for the arrival of Oberyn Martell, we will be sending a special gift to your in-game inbox upon the update’s release. This bundle will include Exalted Tokens to give you a head start on your newest recruitment drive, with an addition of Splendid and Grand Tokens for you to also acquire legacy Champions to build up a strong team.

As we move toward a more streamlined "Exalted Summon" format, our focus remains on ensuring that every token spent and every task completed feels impactful to your legacy.

The fires of ambition are burning bright. Will you seize the moment?
