Iconic Items Overview
Iconic Items are a brand new way to empower your Champions. Once a Champion reaches Star Rank 3, their Iconic Item will unlock. The Item provides two benefits: first, a new passive Iconic Ability that grants an additional gameplay dimension to the character; and second, stats boosts that increase the Championโs raw power. Iconic Items can be leveled up to increase their power, which is critical to unlocking their full potential.ย
Champions with Iconic Items will be among the most powerful in the Realm. Some will become even stronger in their existing archetypes, while others will branch out into completely new strategies.ย
Also, keep in mind that Iconic Items are separate from Gear and Skills - Iconics will add on top of the effects of those mechanics.ย
Champions
The 10 Champions listed below will be the first to receive Iconic Items. Going forward, we will add Iconic Items to additional champions. Keep your eyes peeled for Patch Notes and News featuring new Iconic Items in the future.
Daenerys Targaryen (Mother of Dragons) โ Chain of Dragons
Iconic Ability
Bend the Knee โ Once per turn, when an enemy is Debuffed by an Ability, Daenerys gains FURY with a chance to grant a random ally FURY. At higher levels, Daenerys can also become immune to FIRE when she is ENRAGED.
With a FURY synergy, Daenerys' damage will hit new heights when paired with her ancestors, members of the Blacks Faction.
The Chain of Dragons also boosts the following Champion stats: Attack, Critical Strike Chance, Critical Damage.
Khal Drogo โ The Khalโs Arakh
Iconic Ability
Only Bones Will Remain โ When Khal Drogo lands a Critical Strike, he damages all other enemies. At higher levels, defeating an enemy with this strike will grant THE KHAL'S DOMINANCE and grant Khal Drogo INSPIRATION.
A more dominant threat than ever, Khal Drogo can now strike all foes. INSPIRATION will convert gems to his colour, unleashing the fury of a full Red Gem team!
The Khalโs Arakh also boosts the following Champion stats: Attack, Critical Strike Chance, Critical Damage.
Jaime Lannister โ The Kingslayerโs Blade
Iconic Ability
There Are No Men Like Me, Only Me โ Once per turn, if Jaime Critically Strikes an enemy, he will strike a random enemy. At higher levels, Jaime gains a Power Buff every time a Coin Gem is matched.
Chain kills together with Jaime's Kingslayer's Blade. Allies who spawn and destroy Coin Gems quickly will help him stack his power buff.
The Kingslayer's Blade also boosts the following Champion stats: Dodge Chance, Critical Strike Chance, Tenacity.
Tyrion Lannister โ Lannister Coin Purse
Iconic Ability
A Mind Needs Books โ Anytime a team member uses their Skill, Tyrion's team member marked with TYRIONโS CHAMPION gains a Power Buff. At higher levels, when Tyrion's marked team member uses their Skill, Tyrion gains Stamina, and when Tyrion's marked champion is defeated, a random ally gains TYRION'S DEFENDER.
A quick mind will win more battles than swords. With his new Iconic Item, Tyrion is faster and empowers his marked ally more than ever before. Should Tyrion's ally fall in combat, fast allies who can quickly pick up the mantle may change the winds of favor in your direction.
The Lannister Coin Purse also boosts the following Champion stats: Health, Gem Damage, Durability.
Brienne of Tarth โ Oathkeeper
Iconic Ability
The Honor of a Kingsguard โ Brienne has an HP Guard at 50% HP. At higher levels, When one of Brienne's HP Guards activates, she gains an indefinite Physical Resistance Buff and spawns random Power-Ups.
Failure will not stop the will of a true knight. Brienne can now stand longer on any team, with HP Guards ensuring her oath of protecting her allies will not go unfulfilled. Her Gem upgrades may also benefit those with strong ally bonds.
Oathkeeper also boosts the following Champion stats: Health, Defense, Gem Crit Chance.ย
Ned Stark โ Ice
Iconic Ability
Know The Men Who Follow You โ When an ally uses their Skill, Ned gains Tenacity. At higher levels, if that ally is a Stark, Ned also gains TAUNT, and if he is taunting at the start of the turn, he grants all allies Durability for that turn.
Leading from the front means being able to trust that those behind you have your back. Ned will keep his allies safe as he stands tall for house Stark and grants all those that follow his lead durability, shielding them from AoE attacks.
Ice also boosts the following Champion stats: Health, Hit Chance, Tenacity.ย
Arya Stark โ Needle
Iconic Ability
Winter Has Come For You โ When an enemy becomes BRITTLE, Arya gains STEALTH. At higher levels, when Arya enters STEALTH, she extends the duration of ARYA'S LIST on all afflicted enemies and applies ICE to all enemies, and if she is in STEALTH at the start of the turn, she gains Stamina.
A girl takes many names working from the shadows. Allies who can help Arya hide will find that she is a potent threat in STEALTH as she applies ICE and strikes faster with more stamina.
Needle also boosts the following Champion stats: Attack, Accuracy, Gem Damage.
Rhaenyra Targaryen (The Kingโs Chosen Heir) โ Valyrian Steel Necklace
Iconic Ability
Targaryens are Closer to Gods than Men โ When Rhaenyra is Debuffed by a Skill, she deals Fire Damage to all enemies. At higher levels, she grants all Targaryens Fire Resistance, and she then deals Fire Damage to the source of the Debuff for each FIRE they have.
It takes more than might to bring down a dragon. Those who rely on debuffs will soon find that all they have achieved is stirring Rhaenyra's wrath. Against those who debuff her, Rhaenyra will unleash the full fury of Targaryen FIRE.
The Valyrian Steel Necklace also boosts the following Champion stats: Health, Hit Chance, Gem Damage.
Samwell Tarly โ Dragonglass Dagger
Iconic Ability
I Always Wanted to be a Wizard โ Samwell's Skill SHIELDS team members for an additional percentage of his SHIELD. At higher levels, when Samwell REMOVES a Debuff from a team member, he gains a Durability buff and Unnatural Resistance, and the first time each Night's Watch team member drops below 50% HP, double any SHIELD on Samwell.
Supporting his allies from the rear, Samwell's shielding powers now scale with his own. When his alliesโ health gets low, he can double his own SHIELDS and pass the benefits to any ally.
The Dragonglass Dagger also boosts the following Champion stats: Defense, Unnatural Resistance, Durability.
Ygritte โ Ygritteโs Bow
Iconic Ability
Strike Hard And True โ At the start of the turn, if Ygritte is in STEALTH, she gains Stamina. At higher levels, when a team member uses their Skill, she fires an arrow at a random enemy that deals damage; if that team member is a Marksman, Ygritte gains STEALTH.ย
Pair Ygritte with Marksmen to keep her firing from the shadows and providing constant support. With more Stamina gain and BLEED when shooting from STEALTH, Ygritte is a potent hidden threat.
Ygritteโs Bow also boosts the following Champion stats: Dodge Chance, Critical Strike Chance, Tenacity.
Leveling Up Iconic Items
For Champions that have an Iconic Item, upon reaching Star Rank 3, that Championโs Iconic Item unlocks and you are granted Iconic Lv.1 automatically.ย
Each Iconic Item has 20 levels. Every time you level up the Item, the stats boosts it provides increase. Every 5 levels, the Iconic Ability will also improve with new effects.ย
Leveling up Iconics requires Valyrian Essence and Gemstones, two new resource types. You will encounter three types of Valyrian Essence (Minor, Major, and Superior), and five types of Gemstones (one for each Champion color).ย
Iconic Item Lvs.2-5 require Minor Valyrian Essence, Lvs.6-10 require Major Valyrian Essence, Lvs.11-15 require Superior Valyrian Essence, and Lvs.16-20 require Gemstones matching the Championโs color.ย
At launch, you can acquire these materials in Summoning, Raids, and Alliance Legendary Assault. More sources will be added in the coming months. Within Summoning, we have added a new Forge Summon from which you can summon Valyrian Essence and Gemstones for your Iconic Items. This summon consumes Forge Tokens, a new token type that you can find in the same modes that reward iconic materials. The Forge Summon is a permanent addition, so you may summon from the smiths of fire and steel to your heartโs content.
