What We're Focusing On - March 2026

Hello House Leaders,

Happy March!

We’re pleased to continue our commitment to transparency by sharing our monthly development plans! Below you’ll find an overview of our current focus and priorities, a recap of last month’s updates and fixes, and a look at what we’re currently exploring. Please note: The details below are subject to change and aren’t a promise or a guarantee.

Our Current Goals

  • Performance: Improving game stability and gameplay performance.

  • Player Experience: Increasing the player experience and quality of life.

  • Economy & Progression: Setting goals and benchmarks for Champion progression and making adjustments, improvements and features to achieve them.

What We’re Focusing On

Current Focus

  • Monitoring how gameplay is affected by the Faction Bonus changes. It’s still a bit early to see big changes, but we are happy to see a more diverse set of factions and play-styles starting to appear in Raids.

  • More economy quality of life improvements (increased resource inflows). Phase 2 focuses on continuing to boost Champion level-up resource inflows, as well as increased amounts of Gear and Gear XP for all players.

  • The design and engineering teams have been dedicated to reducing the amount of Champion bugs, while continuing to address any reported by players.

  • Making improvements and adding content to the Trials feature in order to provide more things to do and better rewards.

  • Major improvements to the Shop that will make different play modes more rewarding across the board.

  • New Champion level-up interaction that allows players to max level without tons of clicks.

Upcoming Consideration

  • We have fleshed out and approved some additional quality of life features, such as:

    • Reduced time investment in certain PvE modes.

    • A Skillbook re-spec feature.

  • We are spinning up work on some big improvements to Alliance Legendary Assault systems, including mechanics that will:

    • Allow all Alliance members to participate with their best efforts.

    • Allow the bosses to have improved kits, tuning, and individual difficulty levels.

    • Improve rewards for all alliance members.

  • We’re always looking at new gameplay mechanics like BLOCK, and have some fun ones in mind we are ready to begin work on, and will introduce with new Champions.

Exploring

  • Investigating the energy costs for other PvE content like Campaign and Trials.

  • Continuing to explore more ways for players to exchange Champion progression resources in a limited manner.

  • Introducing more ways for players to test out new and existing Champions, whether in game content or against one another for no stakes.

Released or Update from last month

  • Brienne of Tarth: While we will continue to monitor Brienne’s performance, we’re looking more into providing further support to the Champions affected by her adjustments now, like Benjen Stark.

  • Faction Bonus UX: We’ve released some much needed improvements to the UI to help support the rework:

    • Current Faction Bonuses now appear in pre-battle.

    • Improved the pre-battle Bonuses UI. Appears more tappable and displays faction bonuses with their emblems.

    • Added the ability to change the team Leader in pre-battle.

    • Added a Dual Faction choice in the Roster filters.

  • Economy: We’ve released phase 1 of some important economy improvements to increase Champion level up resources across several features.

  • Defensive Team Power: Power boosts to various Gem-based Champions, and auto-attack damage increase has rolled out. We’re monitoring the performance of defensive teams in Raids.

  • Event Scoring Improvements: This was delayed due to team capacity, but is still planned to be released in an upcoming patch.

  • Night King Leader Ability Issue: The fix for the Night King has proved a bit elusive, but we’re confident that we’ve found a solution (prevents the cheese, but keeps Night King a viable choice) that will roll out in our next patch.

  • Areo Hotah: Our latest release included a fix that prevents Areo Hotah’s Leader ability from affecting Legendary Assault bosses.

  • Event Energy Cost: We greatly reduced the energy cost of the limited time events.

From all of us on the Game of Thrones: Legends team, thank you for your patience and continued support. We hope you all have a great rest of your week and a lovely weekend ahead!
