The War of the Three Banners Begins…

The time has come to muster your Alliance and prepare for the War of the Three Banners! Read on to learn more about this exciting new feature, and join your Alliance in battle. Play now!

Only an Alliance Will Save You

Join forces with your Alliance in the War of the Three Banners to defeat enemy Alliances in strategic combat, earn potent power-ups for your Alliance, reap valuable rewards, and become one of the most powerful Alliances in the Seven Kingdoms.

The War of the Three Banners is a four-phase Alliance vs. Alliance vs. Alliance feature, where players will strategize with their Alliances to build and deploy teams of Champions in order to seize bonuses that will benefit their teams throughout the length of the war. How it works: First, players will opt-in to the war, then deploy their teams to the outposts with their desired bonuses. After battling and seizing the bonuses from the opposing Alliances, each Alliance will go head to head (to head) in the Final Reckoning battles. By winning battles both in the Outpost Clash and the Final Reckoning, Alliances will earn War Points towards their victory–the Alliance with the most War Points at the end of the Final Reckoning phase will be the winner! 

The first War begins on August 18th at 12PM ET and will run until August 23nd at 12PM ET, with each phase lasting between 24 and 48 hours.

Council of Swords

Monday, August 18th at 12PM ET – Wednesday, August 20th at 12PM ET

The War has begun! Gather your closest allies within your Alliance and prepare for battle by opting in for the War. Now you can start building your teams of Champions and collaborating with your Alliance on a strategy for capturing bonuses and ultimately winning the War. 

The March Begins

Wednesday, August 20th at 12PM ET – Thursday, August 21st at 12PM ET

The battle is nigh! Your Alliance will be matched up against 2 opposing Alliances, and now be able to see the Bonuses available to capture on the map. During this phase, you and your Alliance will deploy your teams to outposts throughout the map–each outpost has a different Bonus that you will both be able to use during the Outpost Clash and potentially win for the final phase. Choose which teams you deploy to each outpost carefully, and do not be afraid to consult with your Alliance. 

Please note that this phase is your last chance to edit your Champion teams before the battles begin. You will still be able to power up your Champions outside of the War.

Outpost Clash

Thursday, August 21st at 12PM ET – Friday, August 22nd at 12PM ET

Now is the time to battle at the Outposts to which you deployed your Teams. Choose your opponents carefully–a more difficult opponent will reward more War Points. The Bonuses applied to your Outpost will affect both your team and your opponent’s team. You will have 4 battles to complete during this time, so be sure to finish all your battles to maximize your War Points and increase the likelihood that you will win that Outpost’s Bonus. 

Final Reckoning

Friday, August 22nd at 12PM ET – Saturday, August 23rd at 12PM ET

Now that you have earned Bonuses at the Outposts your Alliance won, it’s time to throw your Alliance’s full might into the final battle! All of the Bonuses that you won in the Outpost Clash will now be automatically applied to your and your Alliance’s teams in battle, exclusively! This is the last chance of the War to earn War Points and triumph over enemy Alliances!

The Spoils of War

The dust has settled, the War is over, and the winning Alliance reigns victorious! All participants in the War of the Three Banners will receive rewards, but, of course, the best spoils of the war go to the victor. In addition to premium rewards such as Legendary Equipment, Champion shards, and Skill Books, the top five War Points-earning players across all three Alliances in the War will receive extra bonus rewards, though the best rewards are those earned by the Alliances. 

In addition to the spoils, Alliances will earn Glory based on their performance in the War, which will determine their rank, give them better access to rewards, and help determine their opponents in the next war.  

If necessary, the next War of the Three Banners may be delayed by approximately a week after the end of the August 18 - 23 War in order to fix any bugs or issues that may occur during the first run of the Feature. Game of Thrones: Legends social profiles and Discord will post an update on the next War by 5PM ET on August 22nd. Rest assured! We are working hard to have this feature run its regular weekly cadence for all users by the end of August.
