What We're Focusing On - September 2026

Hey House Leaders!

The September roadmap is here! We’re excited to share what’s happening behind the scenes as we continue to shape the world of Game of Thrones: Legends together. Below, you’ll find a breakdown of our primary goals, an inside look at our current priorities, and an update on the features we’ve been working on since our last update.

Our Current Goals

  • Performance: Improving game stability and gameplay experience, especially focusing on reducing bugs in gameplay and champion skills.

  • New game modes: Introducing new, exciting game modes which reward a more diverse playing style and allow players to theorycraft.

  • Economy & Progression: Monitoring the permanent and event stores to get you the best possible offers that enhance your gameplay.

  • Player Experience: Increasing the player experience and quality of life.

What We’re Focusing On

Current Focus

  • Following the launch of the updated Legendary Assault, we are studying player interaction with the feature in order to make it more fun and rewarding.

  • We are also monitoring how players are interacting with the Alliance Shop, including the interest in the “shop champion” Rickard Karstark. We are looking to introduce more shop characters in future.

  • With the change of skill book requirements and “laning” game modes to reward specific currency from a specific game mode, we know that players are always looking for ways to earn the skill books that they need. We are exploring ways to grant this agency to players so they can continue upgrading their characters.

  • Our new webstore is receiving its finishing touches and final coat of varnish. Soon, players should be able to visit the store to get the best offers in the game! Keep an eye out for the announcement.

Upcoming Focus

  • We are reviewing champion ability data based on community feedback to ensure these mechanics provide a balanced and rewarding combat experience.

  • We’ll be making good progress on the new game mode, which allows players to showcase their skills and battle for top honours.

  • We are continuing the work on factions to make them broader so more champions feel useful across all game modes which means regrouping smaller factions in new, bigger ones, as well as assigning factions to currently factionless characters. We know you cannot wait for this information, but it will be shared ahead of time!

Exploring

  • We are continuing to ideate on a potential new PvP mode in order to enhance the competitive nature of the game and ensure we are introducing new and fresh game features for players to enjoy.

  • We are looking into redoing the onboarding experience for new players so they enjoy a simpler and more guided start to the game in order to make the introduction to the game as smooth as possible.

  • We are exploring a bunch of improvements to user experience, including but not limited to:

    • Reducing repetitive gameplay in other PvE game modes so it feels less taxing.

    • Allowing players to explore their saved teams more easily.

    • Improvements to gear management, so players can mix and match gears more easily.

Released or Update from last month

  • New Alliance Legendary Assault with Alliance Renown.

  • A new Alliance Shop with the ability for players to choose what they want to buy - including resources, shards and iconic materials.

  • Champion ability to target adjacent enemies - debuted with Brienne of Tarth (True Knight).

  • Allowing players to browse champions in their roster basis keywords like FIRE, ICE, BIRTHRIGHT and so on.

  • New “shop champions” which can be earned via Alliance Shop currency - the first of them being Rickard Karstark.
